Absolutely, when a husband is violent about sex that clearly is rape. All I’m saying is let’s find a way to differentiate violent sex, Rape, from marginal consent. It’s a matter of semantics.

For instance, let’s say a girl goes to a party with a guy she sort of likes. They both get a little too drunk and things get out of hand. Now if this girl happens to be of the prim and proper type, after she gets back to normal the next day she may want to cover her feelings of guilt, so she yells rape.

Now when most folks who don’t know the situation hear the word rape they automatically think of a violent serial rapists.

Thus almost by accident the guy is stained for life if the case goes to trial, or even perhaps if it doesn’t get a lot of publicity. So I say there needs to be other words besides rape to cover sexual matters of a non violent nature.
