Al Franken’s “sex crimes” are what might be defined as being in that gray area of delicate perception. Al has always had a touchy feely reputation, an outgoing, friendly, likable guy to most. But in his line of work he has come in contact with countless folks among whom a few just didn’t care for the him. So for them what he took to be merely routine friendly gestures, they could easily perceive such gestures as sinisterly intended.

It is a bit like those young, single women who when some guy she finds unattractive puts a move on her she reacts by calling him a filthy, groping pig, but when dreamboat Mike does the same thing she purrs like a kitten.
