Alas, tribalism is at the heart of one’s primitive ego defensive mechanism. It requires at least a minimum amount of worldly intellect to rise above one’s negative aspects of the tribal impulse. Some folks possess intllect naturally. Other gain intellect through education and a broad array of experiences.

This accounts for those living in relatively isolated communities for tending toward xenophobia.
