Americans Have Become Conditioned To Democratic Voting

I mean democratic voting with a small d. Since mainstream, Wall StreetRepublicans can never in modern times muster enough votes by normal democratic means to maintain control, they have resorted to cheating tricks involving voter suppression rules based on the transparently flimsy excuse of voter fraud, as if anyone seriously cares about going out of their way to impersonate someone else at the polls. Really? Heck large chunks of the citizenry can’t be prodded into voting even when it’s made easy.

Yet wealthy elites desperate to maintain their huge moneymaking edge by political means continue to devise undemocratic methods to control government. Having found ways to limit potential Democratic voters by rigged state election laws, the Republican establishment now finds it also necessary to rig their own Republican Party laws in order to maintain their unfair economic advantage.

Sure, in the past political parties in convention decided whom their nominees for president and vice-president were to be. Unfortunately for the GOP’s current situation, the party has opened up voting to the general public for some four decades, causing the public to fiercely defend what it perceives as it right to directly elect party representatives, almost as if such a right were written into the American Constitution — a phantom amendment.

So now the Republican establishment finds itself pounded on the left by Bernie Sanders and on the right by it own extreme party base. Talk about being boxed into a corner. Is some sort of social/political revolution genuinely upon us? Can income inequality be attacked and defeat by a combination left right pincer movement? Fasten you seat-belts, folks, this is going to be an exciting and bumpy next few months.
