Believe me, Glenn, I get your points. In recent years the GOP and Fox and other rightwing friends have rounded up the nation’s once fragmented and dangerous misfits into both a money making opportunity and a lethal weapon. So I understand wanting to sidestep that mess.

On the other hand, I just can’t stand to see Trump find a way to once again slip past the law. He has managed to do this his whole life.

Moreover even if we let Trump off the hook, it’s not going to solve the dangerous rightwing problem. There we always be another Trump to taken control of it.
