Big Money Hate
Big money hate started in the US when the super rich and corporate America (Wall Street) began screwing over average citizens, especially those middle class and lower middle class White men who had held relatively high paying factory jobs during the 50s, 60s and 70s, when such jobs in the 80s and 90s were being outsourced and unions broken. This created a large reservoir of resentment that was compounded when right wing political media began to flower; it being eager to stoke for cash this massive pool of bitterness.
In other words trouble started when the fat cats, deciding to make even more obscene profits, threw overboard the America worker for cheap foreign labor. This was the first pike of money to be made. The second pile of money was made by pandering to White resentment by the likes of Fox News and Rush Limbaugh led “conservative” talk radio.
In order to cover their butt America’s super wealthy had instructed their GOP shills to blame the plight of White workers on the “other” — blacks, Mexicans Asians and Muslims. Whites kind of knew it was a lie, but it’s sort of like when the boss gives one a bad time and then one goes home and kicks the cat, because its safer that way than tearing into one’s superior. Indeed, it’s a lot easier to rage against lowly, helpless minorities than the rich and powerful above.
On top of all this money to be made by capitalist and media opportunists there was political power to be had. After all hate is a most powerful force. Said one of America’s most renowned experts on mass movements of the last century, Eric Hoffer: “Hatred is the most accessible and comprehensive of all unifying agents. It pulls and whirls the individual away from his own self…. He becomes an anonymous particle quivering with craving to fuse and coalesce with his like into one flaming mass.”
It has been one gigantic bonanza for political right-wingers and their wealthy donor’s, but an undercutting disaster for the national interest at large, seeing as all this money exploited hate paved the way for traitor Donald J. Trump to gain ultimate American power and function as Putin’s useful idiot — for a yet to be determined reason. Still, it may end in an ironic twist of fate if money hungry, power obsessed (Hitler lite), but debt ridden Trump ends up losing what little remains of his financial empire.
At present it is beginning to look as though corporate American is fearful that it may have taken greed and its smokescreen of hatred to dangerous levels. Thus it has begun cutting off funding of the GOP. Perhaps it believes that it has severely endangered the goose that lays the golden eggs: democracy. Unfortunately, however, hatred, power and money driven insurrection has gotten up such a head of steam that it may not be possible to contain a full blown national catastrophe.
