Big mouth bully, Bill O’Reilly, would make a nice fit as big mouth bully Donald Trump’s VP. Both appeal to the same rubes. It would be a very nice Fox and family team.
After all this is precisely what the Republican base has come to: Fox News’ core audience, right. And since Roger Ailes, CEO of Fox News, basically directs the entire right wing propaganda machine with his daily talking points anyway, he is already Trump’s de facto campaign manager when they are not fighting.
Forget the RNC. What does it know about running a reality presidential campaign compared to those slick folks at Fox. Moreover, supported by O’Reilly and Fox, Trump can totally dispense with the national news media, those pesky fact seekers, and just employ O’Reilly and the Fox “news” squad to tell the world how wonder Trump is going to be as president.
And with Ailes stage-managing the Republican convention, the Trump team can sweep away all those wishy-washy, old Republican types like, oh you know, Paul Ryan, hangovers from days long gone.
Trump and O’Reilly might not win the election, but the important thing is that Trump will get to hear just how wonderful he is day after day at Fox, and Fox’s rating will continue to spike for weeks on end.
