Both were and are empty, self loathing and positively ruthless megalomaniacs, brilliant at leading people as silly as themselves to destruction along with millions of others as collateral damage, but otherwise stupid as hell.

The playbook boils down to exploiting the tribal impulses of the ignorant and the crude — the true believer dying to belong to anything bigger than their meaningless selves.

If you want to understand the inter working of Donald John Trump read, “The Life and Death of Adolf Hitler,” by Robert Payne. Or you might try that little gem of a book of the last century, “The True Believer,” by Eric Hoffer. Neither book of course speaks directly to Trump, but any one of insight can make the connection with ease.

The only difference between Trump and Hitler is that one grew up under a hard father in wealth and the other in semi poverty. Both were power hungry failures, wrecking balls to humanity.
