Currently the nation’s dark forces lead by Fox News and other right wing media, the Republican establishment and Donald J. Trump have all converged under the Republican banner. Therefore there is little chance that in the party of America’s better angels, the Democratic Party, there is little chance that some dangerous demagogue like Trump (at least for the moment) will be interested in running as a Democrat. But I get your point for the long haul.
