Dear Nelson,
Let me introduce you to one of life’s harsh realities: probability balance.
This universal law states that creation is always at some point in time offset by destruction — star are born stars die. In human terms love is offset by hate and peace by war. As creatures of the universe no matter how hard we try we cannot escape this brutal law of balance. And soon, because of massive nuclear weapons, after the next great offset of man’s creations we won’t be around to worry about it.
I realize that because of our ego we humans think we are something special in the universe, but in the monstrous scope of space time we are hardly a blip of any significance.
So keep trying to stay on the positive side of the balance equation, but don’t go all crazy with disappointment if nothing comes of it.
