We all have such a friend. But many of us also have a friend of a much wider perspective, Mr. Intellect. Mr. Ego has a rather narrow view of life. He is life’s secretary of defense. As such he only cares about one person, his host, seeking advantage at every opportunity for his host is his one and only function.
Since many folks have never had Mr. Intellect as a friend, they closely identify with the narrow-minded Mr. Trump. They, too, only care about what is in it for them, folks who see those unlike themselves as evil. They wallow in Xenophobia and bigotry.
Since the Donald has never bonded to a Mr. Intellect who would broaden his horizon of interest and perspective, he is like a selfish child in a man’s body with strange, fuzzy, orange hair.
Lacking in perspective he confuses desire with unbiased truth. Thus strings of nonsensical words are most likely to rush out of his flapping mouth — very, very big and beautiful wall. Wall? Apparently Mr. Trump doesn’t realize that hundreds of thousand of people walk, drive and fly legally into America every day to shop, vacation and do business, making any sort of wall irrelevant. I mean, if any of these folks decide to stay, who is no know?
But then, again, when your only friend is Mr. Ego much reality flies by unperceived. The only possible saving grace might be that Mr. Trump accidentally picks a VP whom is well acquainted with Mr. Intellect.
