God is an offshoot of our base mind ego whose mandate is to survive at all costs. All creatures work off of such an ego mandate, giving all animal life a sense of specialness. Indeed, egocentrism is not just limited to humankind, but like all creatures humans love to think that they are God’s special creation precisely as nature intended.
