Here is the deal, Umair, and I know I don’t have to tell you this, but here goes for some others. The Wall Street crowd has this standard playbook routine that says that any monies or policy advantages that don’t flow to them, but are instead directed toward average citizens like Medicare, Medicaid or Social Security must be loudly branded as creeping socialism.
Moreover, high taxes on the super rich are not some sort of punishment for success. Those who can best afford to enjoy what America has to offer should feel proud to support their nation’s economics needs. After all the nation’s little people are the foundation upon which the well to do have built their wealth. In fact some of the good money bags like Warren Buffett have long advocated the idea that they have a duty to at least pay a higher tax rate than their secretaries.
So capitalists, stop whining and start paying up your fair share or eventually we will all be living in a dumpster.
