Hi Andrew, I’m a military writer of sorts myself. I have published four books. The most noteworthy being American Civil War nonfiction books, Little Mac: Demise of an American Hero, and Apprentice Killers: The War of Lincoln Davis.
For some time now I have had a fictional short story on the shelf, McClellan’s Dreams. My feeling is that it would make a nice piece for just the right kind of magazine.
Truth for me is that research is work. Writing backed up by a good copy editor is a breeze. But promoting a work into publication is a headache.
So here is the long short catch. Would you be willing to take a quick look at McClellan’s Dreams and make some recommendation as to a home for it?
Oh, and good luck on your own special project.
Thanks,
James (Jim) Ridgway, Jr.
