I as well, Allen. The only thing I can figure is that Republicans are experts at appealing to tribal impulses and thus their voters can’t see past that to the substance of Republican policies, which, alas, demonstrates the shallowness of so much of the American electorate.

It makes one want to throw up one’s hands in frustration with the whole democratic process.
