I can see two very different 2020 election outcomes, Michael. First, if for whatever reason the Republicans and foreign interference fail to seriously upset our election mechanics, then its possible Trump wins as few as four minor states and is trounced.

The nightmare scenario, however, is that the electoral process is badly hacked with no paper ballet backups and lots of voter suppression. Meaning that a dozen or more state outcomes are unprovable. So this giantic mess is eventually sent to the Republican packed Supreme Court to decide and Trump is given the nod igniting a firestom of protest, and Putin jumps for joy. The country is a wreck. Putin’s Trump ploy has worked beyond his wildest dreams as the Donald feels free to finish off America’s institutions of freedom.
