I grew up in the Christian tradition and love the philosophy of Jesus, which the Christian right often acts as if the teachings of Jesus never existed, but once I became deeply immersed in history and politics religious dogma became just plain silliness.
I find it baffling how supposedly sophisticated, well learned folks can get all trangled up in religious gibberish. Truth should be truth, and that is not found in pushing the ancient notion of sky Gods. I just don't get it, Napp.
