I know you don’t realize it, Andrew, and you would vigorously deny it, but polar extremes are pretty much cut from the same cloth. Hitler said many times that his best fishing grounds for Nazi recruits were among the militant communist ranks. When protests turn violent it plays right into the hands of would be dictators. Of course if you are looking for an out and out war, then by all means let the brickbats and firebombs fly — the alt-left against the atl-right. Oh, happy day.
