I love your analysis, Michael. And, yes, the wild card is always going to be Trump’s wacky base. To them politics is just another sort of entertaining reality show. Potential nuclear horror doesn’t seem to register with these folks. Their understanding of grand world events is about on par with Trump’s. Thus they easily identify with his crazyness. I can’t imagine the GOP leadership class coming out against Trump. But I sure hope you are right.
