I love your articles, Michael. They are crysal clear and right on point. This particular article inspires the notion that no matter how painstakingly governments are conceived, the rich and powerful will always find a way to highjack them for their own advantage.

If you have read the book, “Stress Test,” I would love to hear your thoughts about it. It makes the point that to have punished the big banks in 2008 would have caused the economy to completely collapse. As Timothy G., Secretary of the Treasury at the time writes, and I radically paraphrase here, we were in the horrible position of having to reward the arsonists or the whole place would burn down, taking about the reckless bankers that caused the financial crisis.
