I Loved Medium When It Was Free

But now I only begrudgingly like Medium a lot since it has gone increasingly commercial. Slowly but surely the powers to be are forcing us to cough up some bucks or move on. Of course I can’t rationally blame them for wanting to charge for their fine services.

Still it sort of feels like a bait and switch scam. Try our product absolutely free for a month and if…. It’s such an effective tactic. Now I don’t believe (might be a little naïve here) that Medium planed to eventually charge readers from the beginning, but that’s where it’s at, and I don’t like it one bit. But what’s an addict of this rag to do? Just too many interesting articles flying by that I can’t get to.

So I guess folks, old cheapskate here is going to soon have to cave to reality and pay up. Any comments?
