I realize that faith isn’t supposed to make sense, just believe man. But if you came from outer space and some Christian explained that his religion was based on torturing a single being in order to overcome the sins of the world, he would certainly find such a story line unbelievably bizarre.

I mean, say you are the most powerful being in the universe and you deliberately design it in a balanced fashion. In other words you make it so that creative good at some point in time is always offset by destructive bad — -balance. Then why in the world would you send into the middle of this dynamic a being to punish for a part of your own creation. It’s like a guy spending millions on a super car then blowing it up — weird.
