I run hot and cold on Haque. He packs so much truth and insight into his articles. Sure, he is the master of disaster, but from the long view of human history our species has always been a never ending run of disasters that we hopeful humans work overtime to rationalize into some sort of positive, lovely spin.

Going into the election I suspected that Umair might be some sort of Russian operative trying to destroy all hope in American democracy.. But, however, what you seem to be saying is that his real purpose is nothing more than attention for attention's sake.

All I know is that there's a big part of humanity that can't handle the truth because it doesn't project the outcomes that we so desperately crave. Or It may be that it is because Umair relentless pushes are faces in the muck of truth that we find him so irritating. Add to that the elegance of his words keeps us coming back to take another look at his train wrecks.

Or maybe Haque isn't real. Just a cleverly developed algorithm designed to push our buttons in the most exasperating way, and it being the reason (he) it can so easily pump out this endless stream of social rants.
