I suspect where you want to go in life is mostly out of one’s hands. It depends on IQ and natural intellect (the latter part I have). Without either you are going nowhere special. Give me 30 more IQ points and no doubt in my mind I would have matriculated at someplace like Princeton or Stanford, and then probably would have gone on to be a famous historian. As it stands, blogging on Medium is pretty much tops.
