I sympathize with so very much of what you say, but there is at least one critical factor of which you are clearly not aware — probability balance.

The universal law of probability balance limits positive creation. As creatures of the universe, humankind, try as it might, can never override this frustrating law. Indeed were it not for probability balance all conflict would cease and love and peace would rein forever. But the law is the law and thus that will never eventuate.

This law of which no one speaks says that creation and the good must always at so point time be offset by destruction and the bad — stars are born and stars die just as humans are born and humans die — balance.

It is that way with every aspect of life — peace is offset by war, charity is offset by greed, hope is offset by despair and of course love is offset by hate.

No amount of wishful thinking can alter this most fundamental law — probability balance. It does not, however, mean that individuals should not continue to strive to stay on the positive side of the balance equation. I mean positive karma does have its benefits, especially as to how one feels about oneself. Yes, do good but don’t get all bent out of shape when at least half the world refuses to follow suit.
