If you noticed I didn’t claim that everyone was either a pure conservative or a pure liberal. So on that basis alone there is plenty of room for the same individual displaying all sorts of liberal and conservative tendencies. Moreover, when you get to the far extremes there is very little difference between liberals and conservatives.

But then take the Trump voter for instance. All who voted for the Donald weren’t necessarily xenophobes, but I would bet the ranch that 99% of xenophobes who voted, they voted for trump, and of that 99%, 90% would be classified as violent tendency conservatives.

The spectrum of the human mind runs from primitive pure ego to high end intellect, of which the high intellect portion tends to be moderate to liberal, excluding radical liberals, which as I have said are surprisingly interchangeable with the hard right.

Sure there are highly intellectual conservatives like the late William F. Buckley, Jr., but even he was more of a philosophical conservative, quite different from the typical ego-primitive conservative Trump type supporter of today.
