It always comes back to that damned tribal hardwiring that nature can’t figure out how to get rid of its negative offset — xenophobia. It hoped that folks of like kind would worked well together, which they generally do, but then apparently it couldn’t figure out that demagogues might have a great time getting folks all worked up over those who were different.

But then again, as I have been repeatedly saying, the ultimate law of the universe is probability balance — at some point in time creativity and good will be offset by destruction and evil.
