It may have something to do with the high rate of scientific and cultural change now happening in the world. Once the average person reaches the age of about twenty-five, in their mind set the world is suppose to be as it has been during their growing up period. And for tens of thousands of years that was the way it always was. But now one minute gay marriage is considered an abomination, the next, no problem.

The base human ego-mindset hates change, and one of the great lures of dictators— falsely so — is to offer stability. Just give me the power and I’ll make you whole again. Or in the case of Trump, I’ll make America great again. And since metropolitan regions accept change far eisier than the countryside. Guess what? Yes, that pits cities against the boondocks.
