It should not be surprising where the religious impulse shows up, it is indirectly hardwired into the primitive, base ego of all of us as part of the ego‘e’s primary mandate for survival at all cost. Indeed, our survival impulse is so strongly programed within us that we project it into infinity in the form of religion, you know, living forever with Jesus in heaven, or at least that is one religious variation of eternal life that we are directed to seek.

Of course if one has an evolved intellect it sees past such nonsense, but, still, we can’t completely rise above the emotional/religious impulse that vibrates within all of us.
