It Wasn’t Trump’s Fault Now Was It Former Republican “Good Guys”

I get so tired of sanctimonious Republicans wrings their hands about how Trump is going to destroy the party for years to come. I see this even from Republicans I otherwise really, really admire.

You guys have got to get over your denial and own up to the fact that ever since your “Southern strategy,” Willie Horton ads and welfare queen race baiting, your racial gerrymandering and your voter suppression nonsense, you guys have been working overtime to fashion the GOP as a racist White man’s party. And just to confirm the point, the Republican powers to be that are still in Congress are doing all in their power to protect the criminal president instead of acting responsibly as a counterweight to his treasonous actions.

After spending years greasing the skids for a low life like the Donald to run off with the gruesome remains of your party, some of your are shocked and dismayed by the Trump presidency — really!

Well, it’s way too late now. There is only the Democratic and Trump Parties, the latter backed by Fox News and the rest of the nation’s misfit voices. If you better angels of the former GOP really care about America — and I’m sure you do — you will drop any pretense of still being Republicans and join with the Democrats and help repair the damage that you allowed to be inflict on our democracy.

You’re either a responsible builder of America or a misfit destroyer. It is your move now folks formerly known as Republicans who go on MSNBC and rightfully bash Trump.
