It’s just this sort of impractical thinking that is the bane of a democracy. If there are only two possible winners and one is disastrously awful and the other is quite unappealing but technically capable, failing to vote for what some might say is the lessor of two evils is just plan nuts.

This — I just can’t lower my standards to save the nation untold pain so I will vote for some minor third party choice I actually like — equals the driver who knows he has the right of way so he pushes on into a horrendous accident, putting him in the category of being dead right.

This sort of self rightous logic gave us first Bush and a phoney war, with hundreds of thousands of deaths, against the wrong enemy and then the dangerous Russian loving Trump. But I’m sure you still know that you did the right thing.
