It’s The Big Lie Stupid

If Thursday’s Congressional reveal focuses almost exclusively on the January 6th insurrectional attack on Congress, then a critical point intended for the American people will be missed. Indeed, without emphasizing that the deadly insurrectional attack on our government was base on a big lie — dramatically showing how that lie was both concocted and sold — for many the violence upon our seat of government will simply come off as an American “Les Miserablies” fight for freedom. I mean, if the election was actually stolen, why wouldn’t the people rise up to save the country from a bunch of usurpers.

Alas, it would seem that it is easier to sell a ridiculous lie to willing believers than to refute a lie with a mountain of facts.

Without relentlessly propagandizing stop “the steal” by the Donald gang getting a worked-up mob to Washington and thence directed to the capital to derail the ceremonial counting of votes by VP Pence would not have been possible. Thus it is equally important, if not more so, to focus on how the big lie was hatched and propagated via Trump insiders and the right-wing media; and of course connect the dots as to how the lie/insurrection plotting of the GOP/MAGA ilk is a vicious and most dangerous attack upon our over two hundred and forty years of fragile American democracy.

Yes, my friends, if the on going Trump lie is allowed to prevail our democracy will surely wither and die. Stop the Trump steal! Lock him up!
