It’s The Midterms Stupid

When Tom Steyer first started beating the drums for Trump’s impeachment, like most rational folks who care about our country, I was all for it, but not now.

Now it’s all about the midterm elections. The Democrats have to first take back Congress before all else. When Trump and his GOP backer start baiting the Democrats to go for impeachment as a way to fire up their crazies you know it’s a bad strategy.

It would have the old Nader effect of diverting the far left from the first priority — win. The GOP knows that the far left always has a grand old time making the perfect the enemy of the good.

So come on lefties, let’s not get the horse before the cart on this one and blow the whole thing on principle. Being dead right is just being dead. So cool it for a while on the “I” thing — nail down Congress first then kick the creep to the curb.
