Let me put it to you this way, Josh. The best possible government is a fine balance of capitalism and socialism, as with, say, Denmark or Norway. Currently the US is way out of balance, with capitalism running amuck.

But if such a practical rebalancing of the political system is not good enough for you, then I fear you will run off to some utopian hell like the Georgetown Kool-aid mess.

As I have said before, don’t make the perfect the enemy of the good. Folks who thought Hilary was a really bad idea, but didn’t like Trump, voted in protest for some third party spoiler, and so ended up handing the government over to a truly dangerous nut job in Trump. On the other hand if all they really wanted was to blow up the world in protest then they did a nice job.
