Let’s just back the Trump presidency up to the middle of the last century and imagine how he would have gotten along with Adolph much as he does with his current pal, Vlad.

Oh, Winston, why are you so hard on poor Mr. Hitler? He’s just trying to protect the persecuted Germans across the border. And how about those fun holiday camps he provides for minorities. And like me, he is a great builder. Have you seen those German expressways?

Yes, I admit that those bombs he accidentally dropped on London was unfortunate, but a guy who says such nice things about me must be really, really cool.

He and I are now hard at work on designing a fine piece of paper that will guarantee peace in our time. And to show America’s good faith with Mr. Hitler, I am sending to Germany a bunch of our unneeded ships. Except for a mess of sumarines and a few small battleships his navy is in desperate need of help. I’m sure that the more we aid Mr Hitler the less chance there will for him wanting to help himself to the possessions of others. I’m just such an awesome leader — both Stalin and Hitler say so. War, not going to happen!

What’s this news bulletin, you say, about Pearl Harbor?
