Look, Carol, American idealism flows from America’s intellects. Those with low self-esteem hate American idealism and those intellects that support it. In a weird way all the ideals that make America special simply make MAGA hats feel inadequate and thus less special. And since Trump makes a point of crapping all over America’s ideals the malcontents love him. He is truly one of their own.

Unfortunately, many Republicans, in conjunction with Fox News over the last thirty years or so have become dependent on these malcontents for their jobs, and so they play along with a sadistic, lazy, hateful, stupid president, the symbol of their constituents.
