Modern politics is a personality thing not a policy thing. Mayor Pete has an attractive, relaxed, yet highly intelligent demeanor about him that naturally draws people to him. Contrast this with the evil, nasty creep in the White House and it is no wonder folks are attacted to him. In other words it is almost totally disconnected to what the rest of the Democrat candidates are about.
