Mostly I agree with you articles, Umair, but not this one at all. Yes, Northern European nations after WWII developed better systems of governance for all its peoples than the US. But growing up in the US you would have been a 100 times more influenced by American culture than anything happening in Europe.

It would seem to me that you and your friend, probably each for many different personal reasons, simply didn’t fit in with the country club set — period — having absolutely nothing to do with European political dynamics.

The theme of this post is a bridge way too far. But I will, still, be looking foward to other articles of your great insight.
