Natural Bigoted Man V. Our Higher Intellect
We can see by recent Supreme Court rulings that primitive, bigoted, emotionally biased man is making a dramatic comeback led by the overturning of Roe V. Wade via the recently bastardized highest court in the land.
Since the civil rights legislation of the mid 1960s human rights for all peoples in America have been making substantial headway, peaking with the election of a half black man as president of the United States, perhaps the most decent politician in the country, the two termed Barack Obama. This set up a fire storm backlash among the bigoted primitives that had been building within the GOP and championed by Fox “News” and its competing right-wing media outlets for many a year.
Meanwhile, behind the scene, the Federalist Society, an ultra conservative Washington “think tank” began grooming young lawyers to take over critical court positions and writing sample legislation that could be taken up by conservative state legislatures when opportunity arose. It was all part of an unholy alliance of certain strains of corporate America, White suprematists and Christian evangelicals. This toxic mix of anti rights suppressive men masquerading as freedom fighters, that is to say bigots maneuvering for raw political power,men who were out to roll back the clock against the nation’s higher intellect.
We want to take back America they said in the same way the Taliban wished to take back Afghanistan. America was meant to be a White, Christian nation they rail on, though Judge Clarence Thomas seems to have missed that memo along with their desire to do away with that mix marriage thing-e-bob.
Look, the Constitution and Holy Bible say nothing about the right of gays to marry someone of the same sex, or the right of a women to have an abortion. This is all deviant, nutty stuff. In fact the Bible condemns sodomy. We are determined to return this great nation back to God, decency and common sense.
I mean, if everyone believes what they want; then how will I know what to believe says natural man. At least with Donald Trump he is always relentlessly consistent — always says the election was stolen from him. That’s why we love the guy so much. A a straight forward leader. We know where he stands. He stands with us!
Somehow these pronouncements have the hallow ring of a bunch of Joe McCarthy, Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, and a highly confused Donald J. Trump cultists ilk — taking crazily about men who care for only one thing, their own power.
America’s most imperfect founding fathers made a grand experiment in democracy that seems to be staggering to its final demise. For you see, contrary to all his yammering about liberty, natural man really wants to be told what to do and think by someone seemingly all powerful, one who says he will protect and take care of them. Indeed, natural man hates freedom and all those pesky decisions it requires. No, my friends, in the end ego emotion and tribal bigotry beat our higher intellect all to hell. Today President Joe Biden is leading NATO against Putin’s attack on Ukraine. Once, however, the GOP repressive ones gain full control of the government, the United States and Putin will become allied in the extermination of Ukraine. Authoritarians unite!
