Of course there is always the relatively remote possibility of a natural extinction event. The universal law of probability balance is always in play on many fronts. But currently we are smack up against a man made extinction. Within the process of our great leap forward in technology resides the inevitable offset (destruction) of humankind and its wonderous inventions. That offset to human creation resides in underground silos and submarines beneath the sea. One God awful blunder by Trump, Putin or that nut job in North Korea or Pakistan or India or who knows where, and in a blink of an eye humankind is no more. That my friends is the first order of extinction.
