Oh, Linda, you insist on being so rational. Fear, hate, love are primitive emotions that flow directly out of one’s base ego. If one has never developed an enhanced intellect capable of overriding one’s base ego, then rational thought is severely restricted.

Demagogue tyrants like Hitler and Trump never aim their rants toward the intellect but rather mainline it straight to the base (childish) ego.

One’s base ego has two primary purposes — survival of the self and to seek advantage at all costs. You see this in action best with small children — mine, mine, mine. Thus demagogues always aim for the childish, selfish heart in folks not the rational intellect, and of course those of a small intellect lap it up big time.

Understanding this vulnerability in folks is the evil genius of Trump, Hitler and their ilk.
