There is absolutely nothing wrong about being wealthy except when one becomes so piggish that one is willing to pull the plug on society’s less fortunate. And so some of those upset at only making, say, a billion dollars a year in profit instead of perhaps 1.2 Billion are taking aim a Republicans who refuse to vote for a pure repeal of Obamacare. Yes, they are boiling bad at those who fail to support their gluttony.

Such GOP candidates refusing to represent the will of the excessive greedy can expect to see their monetary backing quickly dry up, with big donor funding instead falling into the laps of primary opponents. These GOP fat cat donors are the face of ugly America.

The main point of democracy is to protect average citizens from the powerful and the ruthless. Unfortunately democracy is often no match for the most hard-nosed of society. Alas, not all of the wealthy class is a Warren Buffett type, always looking to give back to society out of his good fortune.

In cases where there is not an incumbent Democrat’s seat at risk, it might be better that moderate Republicans (caring and honest types) switch over to the Democratic side. With such a move everyone except the pitiless would win.
