Senators McConnell and Graham Have Gotten Too Cute For Their Own Good

These two Senatorial fools — McConnell and Graham — have managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, by setting in motion a huge political blunder. They did this by bragging, on TV no less, that they do not in any way, shape or form intend to put on a fair trial of President Trump in the United States Senate as the Constitution prescribes for one having been impeached.

In effect these country bumpkins said to the jury, acting as foreman of said jury, that they are hopelessly in cahoots with the defendant and his lawyers, turning loose a firestorm sense of unfairness in the public sphere. If there is one thing humans don’t consent to it is unfairness.

Of course they did the deed as a means to try and emphasize their notion of unfairness on the part of the Democrats impeachment proceedings in the US House of Representatives. The problem, however, with this ploy is that to any fair minded person it was as obvious as day that the Democrats went out of their way to be fair while the president and his team did all they could to upend the proceedings. And now the Republicans are greatly enhancing their further intended unfairness by openly bragging about it — big mistake.

Therefore, last night, a very wise Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, immediately pounced on this Republican blooper by hinting that she may take her time in sending the charges of impeachment over to the Senate. You know, sort let McConnell and Graham stew in their misstep for a time before deciding how she will cook them in it.

Sure the Republican leadership in the Senate may get away with this awesome screw-up with the most fanatical of MAGA hat set, but the rest of America, even Republican America, will not be amused by their antics, especially when Super Nancy rams it, oh, so smoothly up their butts.
