Since the dawn of history humans have one profound choice to make, if they have the wherewithal to pull it off, join the oligarchy or be exploited by it, or in many cases crushed by it. For people of color becoming part of the oligarchy is a particularly difficult endeavor. Most simple accept what they see as their lot in life. This was particularly true prior to the mid 20th century middle class bubble. And it’s that moddle class bubble of the last century in America that gives the impression that things are getting worse, which of course relatively speaking they are.
