So Far So Good On Trump’s Potential Change Of Course

Yes, last evening Trump stayed positive and on script. He went opposite the Breitbart and his own old line both on domestic tone and his “new” Afghanistan strategy — all very Middle American. But it will be his Phoenix rally tonight that will be the ultimate test that Trump is seriously trying to make a Saw to Paul come to Jesus reverse of course.

Trump has never been able to stay positive and on script two days in a row. By going to the Southwest tonight Trump will have a wonderful opportunity to infuriate Hispanics and delight his White base by announcing that he intends to pardon Sheriff Joe Arpaio. The old Trump, the real Trump would be unable to let such an opportunity for hate mongering slip through his grubby little hands.

Of course even if the Donald somehow manages to stay positive on this opportunistic occasion no one of the resistance will believe him — just another ploy by the lying sack of shit they will say.

I wonder what are the odds that Trump will be Trump or some mirage of goodness that he has concluded is the only path open for saving his neck from federal prison?
