Sounds like a great book, Ethan. But as with all books dealing with man and the universe, I suspect that it has a hole in it. And that hole would be what I have termed the universal law of probability balance.

Probability balance states that over time creation and good is inevitably offset by destruction and evil — stars are born and stars die. On earth peace is offset by war and love offset by hate. And as man is a creation of the universe, he is thus subservient to its laws.

Because of the law of probability balance the future of mankind must inevitable be seen as bleak. The reason is that over the last several centuries man has made huge technological advances. Within these marvelous creations of transportation, power and computer wizardry is embedded the seed of their destruction.

If climate change doesn’t eventually wipe out humankind, the offset to man’s existence and creations sit silently in missile silos around the globe and aboard submarines beneath the seas patiently waiting to initiate humankind’s final offset. In a blink of an eye, in spacetime, humankind will have come and gone from the universe and there is no way in hell we have control over that process.

And now comes the plug. Check out my book, A Quick Look at the Essence of Man and His Universe, available in e-book format or hard copy at Amazon.com
