Taking a chance on entering the crazy world of conspiracy fantasy, I still wonder about the Manchurian candidate angle. The old KGB would have known that Trump’s ego would be an easy animal to bag and direct, even from afar, and there would have been plenty of opportunity when Trump was in Russia to whisk him aside for programing without anyone, including Trump, being the wiser — that old life imitating art thing.

Yes, yes it would have been a long-shot to think that Trump would become president, but they could have been thinking in smaller terms, like have Trump run an Obama’s not really an American campaign that then lead to a much bigger thing.

In any event, Trump may now be knee deep in some bad karma.
