Trump played the tribal card to the hilt — us against the “other.”

People are fickle. They are always looking for something different — from a president of character to one of no character.

Socially and technologically the world is changing at warp speed — many see themselves being left behind by the establishment.

Russian hacking in concert with voter suppression laws titled the election toward Trump.

Democratic protest voters, certain that Hillary couldn’t lose, either voted for a third candidate or Trump. They played with fire and got burnt.

Thirty some years of the Right-wing / alt-right propaganda machine is beginning to take a heavy toll on democracy and truth.

In many respects it’s a reality TV world. Bored people see the reality TV king, Trump, as exciting entertainment.

A persistent Bernie Sanders underscored Hillary’s serious flaws.

The FBI botched the release of their investigation of Hillary’s e-mail info, perhaps on purpose.

And finally, likely the most important reason of all why Trump won — The Electoral College favors rural voters big-time.
