That’s an excellent point, except that it does nothing to reduce the number of children that are piling up in refugee camps because there is no welcoming place to go.

There needs to be another worldwide push to limit population growth. After all much of the world’s major problems, especially pollution of every kind, can be traced back to overpopulation. It’s exactly what happens when there are too many rats in a confined space — back biting hell. But you hear not a peep about this growing problem.

Sure, eventually natural disasters, war and famine will begin their own self correcting solutions of the over population dilemma (of course that has been the case forever, but much less so than is currently on the horizon), and that seems like a grime answer to the problem.

So the bottom line is that anything that supports more children simply adds to the growing problem of overpopulation and its resulting conflict. In fact the the spike of rightwing nationalism around the globe is a red flag, indicating out of control population growth. Folks of like kind are panicking to protect their own space.
