The hardwired tribal impulse is a hard fact of life that causes folks to do a lot of crazy rationalizing to explain their actions and opinions. Many very good folks succumb to the negative offset of the tribal impulse (fear and distrust of the “other”) without the slightest awareness of its effect on their perspective of life.
